PENOBSCOT SNOWMOBILE CLUB
HERMON
December 2004
Greetings PSC members and fellow snowmobilers, I thought I would catch you up on what has been happening at the club. It was an extremely busy month and these are just a couple of events that were put on this month. First, we had the hunter’s breakfast, which went off without a hitch. Seventy-three breakfasts were served and everyone had a good time considering the 2:30 a.m. show time. Second, just one week later the club sponsored the Annual Landowner’s Dinner. The usual menu of deep fried turkey and all of the fixings were served. The landowners were also presented with a magnetic note board for their refrigerators as a small token of our appreciation for them allowing us to use their land. Without the landowners support we could never have the trail systems that we enjoy. As a side note, to satisfy any rumors that might be circulating since the supper - yes that was Brent and myself doing dishes. We thought we would give the usual dish boy a break!
Next is the usual trail cutting, which this year is a little more involved than normal, as we have several trails that are complete re-routes. We need all the help we can get. So, if you have a Sunday morning free and would like to help, contact one of us or visit www.sledhermon.net for details on where and when we will be working.
Lastly, if you haven’t been to the club for a meeting, shame on you. Come and see some of the handy-work completed by some of our members. Mark, Debbie, Rick and Robin have really accomplished a lot this past month. Translation, Debbie and Robin did the lion’s share of the work and the guys took the credit. Just kidding, new windows have been installed and the main meeting room has been repainted - it looks awesome. Great job guys!
Just a couple of reminders, we will be having a Christmas party for the adults on Saturday, December 11th at the Coach House Restaurant. Also, that large gentleman that wears the funny looking red suit will be stopping by to visit all the little ones on Wednesday, December 15th. We still have a lot of trails to sign and fields to stake. Any help that we can get is welcome. From all of us at the PSC we hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season!
