PENOBSCOT SNOWMOBILE CLUB
HERMON
February 2005
Hello again, as I sit down to write this month’s submission I truly can not believe the weatherman is calling for showers and temperatures as high as 50 degrees tomorrow. It is really discouraging. There is still a lot of winter left and who knows maybe we will still be sledding at the end of March.
A major task has been completed since last month; if you are out giving that new machine that Santa left you under the tree a test ride and happen to cross trail #7 you will see that the new covered bridge has been placed. There are a few little things that need to be completed and the project will be done. There will be a dedication ceremony of the bridge in the near future. Details will be posted on our website as soon as they become available. Thanks to all that had a hand in making this project come together.
February will be a busy month for the Penobscot Snowmobile Club as the Pine Tree Ride in is slated for the 5th and then on the 13th we will be hosting a poker run around the town. The 25th through the 27th is the club ride at the Forks. Which I am sure will be a great time as in the past. Just remember if you are in the same cabin as Tom and Fran you won’t need an alarm clock, just a loaf of bread. Also every Friday night there is snow we will be meeting at clubhouse and going on a local club ride.
The only ingredient missing is of course, snow! If we all keep our fingers crossed I am sure we will be all set. Think snow and ride safe.
