PENOBSCOT SNOWMOBILE CLUB
HERMON
August 16, 2004
Hello M.S.A. & P.S.C. Members!
Welcome to the Maine Snowmobiler and thank you for snowmobiling in Maine!
You are involved in one of the premiere and leading edge sports in the industry! And the icing on the cake? As a member of the Penobscot Snowmobile Club of Hermon, it puts
95% of you right at our doorstep. Have we got it good!
Let’s start with the M.S.A.! The Maine Snowmobile Association is a healthy organized group of 13,000+ members paving the future of our sport to continue growing in a friendly, environmentally safe, and cooperative way. We’re involved in the trail system planning, legislative issues, organized and charity events, landowner cooperation and safety from all aspects. We leave no stone unturned when looking for solutions, always striving for the best for everyone! Information comes to us via the Maine Snowmobiler. This magazine tells it all for the entire state. Additional benefits of being a M.S.A. member include a small insurance policy and sled decal. Many insurance companies give discounts on insurance for sleds if members! Your membership is automatic when joining your local Club!
The Penobscot Snowmobile Club of Hermon is THAT local club! As one of the most active clubs in the Eastern Region, no one is left disappointed! This club hosts and supports a whopping plate of activities to include the Five Club Poker Run, Annual
Lobster Bake, Hunter’s Breakfast, Landowner’s Supper, and the ever-growing Club Weekend Trip. No one has ever left the kitchen or the Christmas Party unhappy either!
Did I mention that our almost 40 mile trail system has been significantly improved in recent years?!? We’ve got a new S10 groomer itching to hit the trail. Currently in the works are two major bridge improvements. The views from the F.A.A. Beacon or a blast across the Pond are all within reach. Our top notch site of www.sledhermon.net brings your mouse here, but Trail’s 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, ITS 82 & 84 link surrounding towns from all directions. Our website is updated almost nightly in the active season, so follow it closely.
As with any club, we are striving to be the best! However, this year we’ve set the stage early. We will be on the top! That being said, volunteers Debbie White and
Husband Mark (doubling as Webmaster) has set up to handle memberships. Our goal is 200! For $20.00, a Family Membership includes M.S.A. memberships, P.S.C. membership, P.S.C. dues, P.S.C. trail map, and ITS trail map. A Business Membership of $35.00 gets free advertising with your company name in the M.S.A. paper and on the back of the following year’s map (very effective advertising!).
Our meetings are held at the Clubhouse on the Bog Road every first and third
Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. and we’re aiming for an all time first-night record. Please join us. The maps and calendar of events should be ready for pickup that night. If you’re a team player, you won’t find a better place to be.
While last year wasn’t so condition friendly, and I’m not sure when summer is going to start, it definitely feels like we’re due for a good season. Come and be part of the best. Join the P.S.C.!!
Many thanks and see you September 15th, 2004,
